ABOUT

Upon entering college, I opted for a degree in BSIT (Bachelor of Science in Information Technology) in Bulacan State University. I developed a strong grasp of various technical subjects and established a foundational understanding of multiple programming languages. However, it wasn't until my third year that I stumbled upon web development. Engaging in numerous projects involving the development of web-based systems sparked a personal initiative to delve deeper into web development through self-study and building personal projects, which further increase my interest in the field.

Despite enjoying web development in general, I made a decision to specialize in front-end work. The appeal of bringing designs to life and implementing them resonated with me, steering my focus toward this aspect of web development.

SKILLS

Vue.js, Nuxt, & Tailwind CSS

I gained a foundational proficiency in Vue.js, Nuxt.js, and Tailwind CSS during my internship which greatly improved my efficiency in front-end development. I utilized these technologies in multiple projects, which increased my confidence in working with them.

React.js

Through self-study, I became familiar with React.js. However, my proficiency level is not as advanced as it is with Vue.js since I haven't built as many projects with it.

Express

At my internship, I leveraged Express for a project and crafted multiple endpoints implementing basic CRUD operations.

HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, & MySQL

At university, I acquired a robust foundation in web-based system development through a series of engaging projects. Eager to deepen my understanding, I extended my learning beyond the classroom by embarking on independent endeavors. These personal projects allowed me to apply and refine the skills gained from academic pursuits, which even now I am currently trying to improve & learn.

SCSS

Discovered SCSS as I sought a more refined and organized approach to writing CSS. While I haven't fully explored all of SCSS's capabilities, I am proficient in its syntax and have successfully applied it to enhance the structure and maintainability of multiple projects.

Bootstrap

Gained exposure to Bootstrap during my university studies and successfully applied it to several projects. While my utilization of Bootstrap in website development has been selective, I have developed proficiency in leveraging its components and customization features to enhance the user interface and experience of my projects.

Git & Github

Discovered and learned Git & GitHub through The Odin Project, a dynamic learning platform designed for aspiring developers. Mastering fundamental aspects, I became adept at committing code, cloning repositories to my desktop, reverting changes, and handling other essential tasks. Although I am well-versed in the basics, I am yet to explore collaborative development on GitHub and look forward to expanding my skills in this aspect.

Figma

Picked up Figma when I needed a tool to plan and design my projects. Figma's user-friendly interface made it my go-to choice. It streamlined my design process and improved my project's designs.

Responsive Design

Proficient in crafting responsive websites through the strategic use of CSS and Javascript. Skillful in ensuring optimal user experience, even on the smallest devices.
